Shell Lake Runabout

This is a sweet fiberglass boat for the right owner, built in Shell Lake

Wisconsin back in 1963. Powered by a 50hp Mercury outboard motor, built

in Fond du Lac Wisconsin in 1965. I bought it in 2004 and fixed a few

problems with the motor, used it every summer from 2005 to 2012 when I

got a different boat. It's been stored in my barn since, I ran the motor

every season and put fresh mothballs in the hull.

In 2005 I overhauled the lower unit with new seals, replaced the water

pump, cleaned and replaced carburetor seals and jets, replaced plugs,

points, condenser, cap and rotor, replaced the starter and the battery.

In 2006 I replaced the trailer tires and repacked the wheel bearings.

This is a tilt trailer with working lights. The lights work on the boat.

I added the two extra fishing seats. The battery has been stored

indoors and kept charged, it's in OK shape. The cover is included. The

original three blade "power prop" has been reconditioned in 2009 and has

no dings, I bought a two bladed "speed prop" as a spare, it has no

dings. With the two bladed prop on it my GPS showed 34mph with just me

in the empty boat on a calm lake. I skied slalom behind it with the

three blade prop at about 26 mph wide open throttle with two people on

board. Both props are included. A Seloch manual, anchor, gas tank,

paddle and depth finder are included. I don't know if the depth finder

works anymore, it did work the last time I used it in 2012. The hull

doesn't leak and the motor runs great. This boat is ready to register and

put on the water.
