Shell Lake Rocket

Very cool vintage finned boat. Built in Shell Lake Wisconsin. This is a Shell Lake Rocket 16' model 168-313. The boat and transom is very solid. Although there is a leak on the bottom where a trailer roller cracked the bottom of the boat (see picture). Could be easily fixed with fiberglass. I chose to leave that repair for someone that knows more about fixing it than me. Someone did paint this boat with a brush at one time. No fiberglass work that I can see was ever done. The boat seats 5 people comfortably. The original canvas top is in poor condition but all there for a pattern. The motor is a very good running 1966 Mercury 65hp 4 cylinder that moves this boat pretty well. It has new spark plugs and water pump impeller. The boat is rated for a 70hp. Everything works in the boat....lights, electric start & electric choke. The trailer has new rims, tires, wheel bearings & bearing buddies. All lights work on the trailer. I have a clear Wisconsin boat title and registration card good until 2017. Also have anchor/rope to go with it.
