This is a killer custom-made surf rescue, commercial towboat, dive boat or fishing boat. It was made by Seaway for the LA lifeguards to military specifications. After it was retired it was refit for towing for a Sothern California Vessel Assist firm and then bought by my central California firm and customized as my personal rescue boat. This boat was designed to operate in the breaking surf. I can attest to this as I have operated it in a breaking harbor entrance with ease. (I do not recommend trying this at home I have 35years experience you most likely don't!) It will operate in a small craft advisory with ease.
It is a west system composite hull. This is a workboat made with epoxy, fiberglass and timber to the west system standard, for which means it is lighter and stronger than just plain fiberglass. It is a commercial boat not a recreational boat. The hull was completely refitted and upgraded 3 years ago. It has gel coat painted over the original gel coat that was then painted over when I did the refit. The paint has $550.00 a-gal high-grade auto paint. It has been in storage since then. There is some minor degradation of the paint and some minor delamination of the second gel coat. This does not effect the serviceability of the boat. You can use it as is till your annual maintenance time or do a once over now.
It is dirty and dusty and needs a good cleaning. I ran the engine and it started on command. The batteries are down and should be replace or reconditioned. The bilge pumps fired up on command, as did the electronics and lights. I did not check all the electrical systems and any odd system may need corrosion cleaning at any time on a boat and thats expected and is normal maintenance.
This boat is in storage and is being sold as is where is. I do not guarantee the complete operational condition of the vessel unless you want to pay me to service it completely. Nor am I responsible for any damage it may get in transit. The wiring is in real good condition and was replaced 3 year ago to US Military standards; all the connectors were treated for corrosion with fluid film. There may be some stray issues to contend with but it does not need a rewiring by any means.
This is a killer boat for someone whom can appreciate all it has to offer. If you are looking for a girly pleasure boat this is not for you, it is a macho roaring killer machine that sounds great and rips through the water.

Engine:
Volvo 225HP gas throttle-body fuel injected. (My mechanic (pardon the French) says it runs like a rapped ape) Fires up and purrs like a Cheetah. I would recommend servicing the engine including a fresh raw water impeller. Does about 29 knots flat out in calm water. Dual prop it and hang on.
Volvo IO drive (The Safety release is wired down due to the HP of the engine. Can't put it into reverse or the drive would pop up - love that HP)
