Seamaid 14 foot aluminum boat with front deck, middle (split) and back deck. Original advertisement shown in above photo boat at lower right, with front, and split- middle deck. The boat was purchased in the mid-1950's and is approximately 13.6 feet long (called 14 foot) and 4 feet 8 inches wide. It is very light weight for a boat this size. The boat bottom, front deck and sides have no visible dents but have some scratches. The back wings and deck were added when the boat was new and are held on by screws and should be easy to remove as the wings are crushed and the aluminum on the split back deck is dented. The wood on the transit needs replacement, there are air tanks under some of the seats and the front deck. The original steering wheel and cable are still on the boat. The seats are wood and may also need to be replaced. The middle split deck also needs repairThe steering was hydraulic and I don't know if it still works, the cable probably needs replacement.A good boat for fishing and for someone who doesn't want to spend a lot of money on a boat but is willing to spendthe time and effort to fixone up.This boat was used with a 40 hp motor (no motor included in this sale). I cannot find the manufacturer's tag on the boat but it was made by SeaMaid.
The boat has pulled two lighterweight water skiers at a time when propelled with a 40 hp motor. The boat is very light weight and fun to ride in. Great for small lakes with limited horsepower where you still want to pull skiers. The boat is being sold "as is" with no guarantees, it never did leak and probably still doesn't but no guarantee. The boat has not been registered in Minnesota for approximately 30 years but the old tags and numbers are still on the boat and if sold, I can re-register it before its picked up.
Local Pick-up only at Boat's location in Pequaywan Township in Minnesota
