Rosborough RF 246

Up for sale is my 2007 Rosborough RF 246. She is powered by 2007 Suzuki 250HP 4 stroke. With only 422 total hours. This boat is in near new condition. This boat was built in Nova Scotia, Canada. Nearly 500 of them have been custom built. Rosborough has recently opened a manufacturing facility in the US. This boat is very similar to the Nordic Tugs NT 26 and the Ranger Tugs R-27. Do your research. You will find that this boat is bigger, heavier and faster than those competitors. The LOA on this boat is 308. It is 7 inches longer than the Ranger R27 with swim platform. The biggest difference is the Rosborough has a semi displacement hull. In other words it can get on plane and get you ahead of a weather event.

This is a very big boat on the inside. It has 6 feet of headroom and 82 inches in width in the cabin. It has 58 max headroom in the v-berth area. It has a double berth convertible to a table and chairs below. The salon table coverts to a berth that will easily sleep 2 kids. There is a head with holding tank and macerator pump below. There is tons of storage throughout. The fridge is 110v or 12v and it switches automatically. There is an electric hot water heater, water tank, shower and sink. The AC will freeze you out of the boat. There is room for a generator with easy access under the deck chair but one has never been installed. All power and fuel is plumbed and could be easily added.

Nothing has ever been done to the motor except 100 hour services, tune ups, filters, oil changes and impellers. She has started and performed flawlessly every time I took her out. My son and I clocked the boat at 26 mph at WOT with a hand held GPS full of fuel and water. This is an extremely frugal boat on fuel. I am sure it would go faster with a different pitch prop but the fuel economy would suffer at cruising speeds. The boat is barely off idle at 7 knots. This boat will easily pass a survey and you are welcome to have one performed if you are the winner. You can get a new boat rigged like this for around $175,000 today. Im sure this one will sell for much less than that.

I ALWAYS call what is right and what is wrong with my stuff that I sell on classifieds board. Do not believe for a second that there are any 2007 boats that are perfect. They were not perfect when they were brand new. Yet sellers and dealers do not disclose any problems until you are the high bidder and you go to pick up the boat. I call it like it is and show pictures of any issues. There are no secrets with my listing. That is why my rating is 100%. Look at my history. I sell high dollar items often.

I am unaware of anything else that is wrong with the boat other than what I have listed below.

• This boat is being professional compounded and waxed as

  this auction is taking place. That

  means that many pictures are pre detailing.

• It has very few scuffs and scrapes from normal use.
• It shines like a new boat (see reflection pictures)
• The bottom of the boat is in great shape and has

  ablative bottom paint. (pictures)

• It has 6 feet of headroom in the cabin. Huge for pocket tugs.
• The motor and drive operate properly. The motor oil is as clean as a brand new

  motor.

• The motor was major serviced, plugs, filters, oil,

  impeller, early spring 2014. That was about 20 hours ago so it is ready for her new

  owner.

• See computer printout of Motor data on the bottom of

  this listing.

• The Draft is only 18 inches.
• The windows have snap on shades that are included in

  the auction.

• The motor seems to have been sprayed with corrosion X

  since new and shows virtually no corrosion inside or out.

• The rub rail around the boat has been rubbed. It shows less than normal scuffs

  (pictures)

• One burner of the gas stove works great. The other wont stay on for very long.
• The stainless prop looks brand new.
• There s a small piece on the starboard pilot door

  track that is missing (pictures) it does not affect operation.

• Three bank battery charger works great. Sometimes led indicator lights on one

  bank are inop.

• 3 new batteries spring 2014 service.
• Windlass works perfect.
• Huge Raymarine E120 radar, bottom and chartplotter. Works perfect. (Slight screen

  scratching)

• The boat drives with no shakes, rattles or unusual

  noises. Very quiet.

• Most lights are upgraded to LED. Mooring light needs a bulb.
• All systems operate as designed.
• No damage or gel coat repairs have ever been done on

  this boat. It is a true, honest,

  nice boat.

• The decals have some scuffs and scrapes but have been

  touched up and look good

• Roof A/C and

  heat works perfect. Several of the

  small vent wind directors are missing.

• Stereo is high end Poly Planer with remote CD and

  interior/exterior speakers. Works

  perfect and is very loud. (interior

  speaker grills missing)

• This boat is solid.

  Solid Floors, Solid transom no structural issues whatsoever.

• There is no enclosure for the aft covered area. The snaps and tracks are in place for

  easy installation if you choose to add it in the future..

• This boat is ready to take the winner out the day they

  come to get it.

The interior is nearly new. The Teak is in great shape (just re-oiled). All cushions are like new. I would rate the interior 9.5 out of 10. The exterior is 9 out of 10. The Motor and drive is 8.5 out of 10 (only because of scuffs and sun fade on the cowling paint. It operates perfect). Overall this boat is in great shape for its age. It is easily a 9 on a scale of 1 to 10. Remember that this boat is a used boat and the price it sells for will reflect that as well. Bid on the boat. You will not be disappointed.

The trailer it is sitting on is a 2007 28ft dual axle aluminum Magic Tilt trailer with 4 brakes. It has a weight rating of 12,200 GVWR. It is an 8 lug dual axle trailer with a spare hub and tire. It is very heavy duty. It is in very good shape and should pull this boat anywhere. I have pulled the boat and trailer with my 2014 GMC ton Sierra with no problems. It is available for sale but it is not included in the auction price. $4800 is what I will sell the trailer for if the winner needs it. It is worth nearly double that new. I have a boat launch next to my house. You are welcome to bring a trailer and we will take the boat for a spin and put it on your trailer to go home. Or you can launch from my house and be 3 miles from the intercoastal waterway.

Finally, this is a no reserve auction. The high bidder at auction end will be the new owner. Bid on it. This is an auction.
