2010 Redbay Stormforce 650. Specified, built and imported from Cushendall Northern Ireland.
Redbay Boats is based on the North East Antrim coast of Northern Ireland and has been designing boats for the severe duty cycles associated with the Irish Sea and North Atlantic Ocean. These boats are not watered-down recreational craft (though they do excel in this role), but hardcore, seaworthy boats designed to perform in the toughest conditions. I visited the factory in 2009 and was so impressed with the operation and the dedication to the product that I placed my order on the spot. The boat in question was ordered at a cost of over $65,000, plus all the costs associated with importing it to the US. It is probably the best boat I've owned, and the only reason I'm selling it is that my family is relocating it to the East Coast, so rather than haul it across the country, I'd prefer to sell it locally and order a new one from Redbay next fall.
The boat is generally launched out of Huntington Harbor, CA or Newport Dunes, CA and as such is almost exclusively used in salt water. After every use, however, it is fully flushed (and washed) with Salt-Away and seems to be in tip-top shape. It is serviced annually at the end of the boating season (generally around October) and is stored covered, on a trailer on my property. It certainly does not show like a seven year old boat and has well under 100 hours of total usage due to my extensive work-related travel commitments.Performance is impressive from the dual 90 hp Suzuki four stroke motors. With the current stainless prop, top sea-speed is right around 45 knots and pretty quick out of the hole, providing a very dry ride thanks to the two large tubes deflecting most of the spray. This boat is fully equipped for extended cruising with two twenty five gallon tanks (one for each engine), a Garmin GPSMAP 4210 Chartplotter and GMR18HD Radome. Fuel flow meters are installed along with a depth sounder, all of which are integratred into the 4210. The boat is rated for eight adult passengers and suffers minimal impact to performance even when fully loaded. Currently registered, along with the trailer, this setup is totally ready to go.
The Stormforce 6.5 is a deep V hull form, which is one of the reasons that this RIB has such fantastic abilities in rough offshore conditions. The deep V hull is combined with sprayrails to produce additional lift and improve the hydrodynamics of the hull. The tube is designed to sit firmly in contact with the water surface while at rest; this ensures that the RIB has maximum stability. The boat is 21.3ft (6.5m) overall.
Sea Trials are available to serious, qualifiedbuyers with sufficient notice.
I will make myself available if you choose to have the boat shipped, but I am not equipped to handle shipping arrangements from my end. I will ship this out of the country, but you will be responsible for making all arrangements. I am happy to drive the boat and trailer to a depot or on loading facility, but full payment must be received via direct bank transfer prior to shipping.
Title for boat and trailer are both free and clear and in hand.
