Description: 

This beautiful 20 foot long Laker has been restored over the last 10 years and been updated with a 4 cylinder Buchanan engine. The hull appears to be all original wood in excellent condition with the deck being replaced. What is believed to be the original steering gear and rudder are in great shape. It is not known what the original engine would have been, but the installation of a 1950's Buchanan was well done. There is a copper fuel tank in the back just forward of an access hatch. Two engine covers are removable to access the engine and the bow area. All of the wood in the restoration appears to be high quality and the workmanship is excellent. The hull is finished with paint and NO fiberglass was used. The trailer is in great condition and is really nice. This boat can be stored in a garage or small building.The lines on this boat are just stunning with a plumb bow and a stern that is just incredible. She sits low in the water and just looks great. The throttle and choke are on the middle of the steering wheel.This boat looks very much like a Ray Boat Works Laker dating from around 1910. There is an image of a poster of a 30' Ray Laker featured on the Lake Winnipesaukee Antique & Classic Boat Show. I am not a dealer and will be happy to answer questions and send additional images.
