RARE 1961 Besotes Tahoe 16

A quick breakdown on Besotes: Founded and built by the Besotes brothers out of Stockton, Ca.Henry J. Kaiser owning a home on Lake Tahoe put out a challenge/race to the boating community to try and beat him in his craft- the Besotes brothers took him up on his challenge and WON- Henry immediately ordered 3 Besotes boats and a business was born. Each one custom made to the customers specifications. No two are alike.200 were produced (4) of which were Tahoe 16'sA total of 44 Besotes are accounted for - ONLY (2) Tahoe 16's exist. "Vite Vite" (French for "quick quick") was delivered to Lake Tahoe in 1961 and has the rare distinction of having NEVER been on another body of water. She has won the famed "Bang & Back" multiple times. Mahogany w/glass sides and bottom. Interior is in great shape. Current Ca. tags + pressure tested/refilled current tagged fire extinguisher. She has an amazing fully documented provenance and comes with her own binder of information:Vite Vite won 3rd Place in 2009 at the fame "Lake Tahoe Concours d'Elegance" She was also in the permanent collection of "The Tahoe Maritime Museum" until 2020 when the museum during COVID closed it's doors and auctioned off it's collection.Work performed in the last 2 yrs:New fuel tank (direct copy of the original) + lines + filter unit/New rudder (also direct copy) polished prop/All work performed by Woodies Restoration (who works on Francis Ford Coppola's boats) New custom made prop shaft/strut bearing/new flange + stuffing box/new battery + cables + stainless tray/hold downs/New electronic ignition + coil + plugs + wires/All new hoses/belts/Pump rebuild w/new hoses + impellers/New floor boards + carpet/New 1000 GPH bilge pump/Fresh oil + filter/New exhaust. Powered by Chevrolet 327- sounds great.I retained all original parts that were reproduced for safety reasons and they will go with the sale.
