Ralph Stanley

For sale is a classic Ralph Stanley 30' wooden lobster boat converted to pleasure boat. Boat last surveyed in 2010 (when I purchased from original owner). Original owner fished boat for 40+ years and took incredible care of boat. Owner worked for/with Ralph Stanley and helped build. Boat listed in Ralph's book as Bette S...maintains original name. I reconditioned boat, removed gas engine and replaced with 85 hp Perkins FW cooled engine, added moderate sleeping accommodations in v-berth, FW head/holding tank, convertible galley in house (propane stove, H/C pressure water). Hull is cedar over oak, deck is cedar, covered with 3/8" marine ply/Dynel/epoxy. This is a 7-8 KNOT boat, burning about 1.5 gal/hr.

Electronics include radar, chart plotter, depth sounder, VHF,auto-pilot, 75 watt solar panel, 2 grp 24 batteries, and new Blue Seas breaker panel with digital gauges. Lots of classic bronze hardware. Custom cooler that equals Yeti in performance. Lots of canvas (rear enclosure andcovers for almost everything).I motored her up from NC last summer and cruised mid coast Maine. She was stored over winter inside near Belfast. Now in water SW Harbor - Cranberry Isles area. I can forward extensive work list to interested buyers. I will motor her back to NC mid-late August, therefore delivery is possible from Maine to NC.
