Palmer Scott & Co

This is a rare classic, Palmer Scott moulded glass boat with wood frame built in New Bedford, MA. These were the first mass produced composite boats made by vaccum mould injection (same as all glass yachts and high end boats built today). See picture of an original advertisement which will also be included. Very strong and light with no delamination issues or glass over failures like on hand laid boats. Most of these boats were sold as hull kits and this one has an older restoration that mimics the most popular layout.It is not a show quality restoration, but very nice cruiser that is both functional and turns heads all day long. This boat is super solid and has beautiful lines like a classic New England picnic boat. Needs a couple things done tomake it 100%like seat cushions and new windshield glass and both can be done locally before pick upif negotiated. There is somesmall touch up painting that could be done around deck edges also, from regular wear and tear. Has a wrap-around rear bench that hides dual 30 gallon poly fuel tanks. Also has raw water wash down system and new hydraulic steering.

The driveline was completely upgraded with a Yanmar 4JH3 DTE turbo charged and intercooled engine with 125HP. Transmission is 2.04 to 1ZF Hurth Marine. The entire package has only 32 total hours and is literally like new. This driveline was $14,000 alone,not including install.

Includes aluminum I beam EZ Loader trailer with tandem axles and galvenized wheels. (Surge brakes are disconnected) Tows extremely well with great balance so there is almost no tongue weight.
