THANK YOU!Well, here we find ourselves with a rare 1956 Norseman (believe it is the model 17) Norseman Boat Works, Bellingham, Washington made this model from 1956 to 1960. I think! I am not a boat savy person, so that is about the best I can do...Sorry. Here is what I do know and what I know about the boat we are listing though...Clear California Title
Last Registered in 2013
We jumped through a lot of hoops to keep the original hull number. CF 4128 AA is a very low number and very desirable for the antique boat collector. We have some old paperwork with it.This boat is a solid one. Barn Find. NO WOOD ROT! Oh, by the way did I mention...NO WOOD ROT?
(even under the subfloor - she is still solid) Always kept inside or covered or both. While it is dusty/dirty (no charge for that by the way) she is a well built boat.
Looks to be wood with a fiberglass overylay - not sure, as I said, not too savy about boats.According to Popular Boating Magazine in December of 1956 : "Norseman 17 is a husky combination runabout and sport cruiser with 1/2" laminated CreZon plywood bottom, oak frames and keel. Special transom cuts engine noise. Lengths run from 14' to 21' long. "These boat is 16' longThis is listed with a very low reserve!!!!!!! So bid, you won't be disappointed!Glass is all good.Cool old fishing rod holders too.Wood work does need refinishing and the needs a good coat of new paint. Yes, it will be a minor restoration, but you will have a very rare and beautiful boat to cruise about with. Rear transom needs a little wood work too.Now a note to those really interested. We also have a VERY RARE set of Electric start matched twin Evinrude 18hp Fast wins.
Dual controls
Dual motor Linkage
Dual ignition
Starter and Panel with emblemNow these sweet Twin Evinrude engines and set up are not included with the Norseman, but since we bought them for it, we would be willing to sell them if the price was right. We prefer local pickup, and we have a fork lift if necessary to aid in the loading of the boat. The roller dolly it is sitting on, is NOT included, it does not belong to us...There are a few options though. If you cannot pick it up, we can deliver within about 200 miles for an additional charge, or we can keep it here at our storage facility until you are able to arrange transport. (If it is paid for of course). We would feel better if it was picked up before the rainy season hits...though...when it hits...LOLPlease bid with confidence. Check our feedback, we are not new to classifieds board and try to describe our items with accuracy.Item is "as is, where is".Transportation arrangements and/or shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the buyer.Total due within 3 days from close of Auction. All sales are final. No warranties or guarantees implied. We accept Paypal, cash in person, or bank to bank wire transfer as means of payment only.
