Monterey Clipper Vintage Yacht Trawler

Beautiful historical 28" Monterey built in 1939. Cedar planks over oak frames. No permits, no electronics. This is a nice example of these historical commercial fishing boats built at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco, one of last ones left in existence. This boat boat has a great history and spent most of its life trolling for Salmon. If you are serious about a Monterey, or a fun historical boat with class, this is the boat for you.It has a 271 Detroit Diesel with very low hours paired with a hydraulic transmission.This engine was an original Marine engine, not a converted generator or truck engine like most. The engine was put in brand new in the late 90's early 2000's and has not run much since then.The boat currently needs a haul out and some general maintenance. ALL wood boats require regular ongoing maintenance. This is a great boat to use as a mini yacht trawler for fun on the bay.The boat is in nice historic condition, and needs a haul out, some normal wood fix it projects here and there, and currently I think the fuel lines are possibly clogged, engine cranks but wont run. The engine was running last summer, the last time I ran the boat. In any event, the engine cranks strong and when I spray starter fluid or fuel in the intake it starts to run. So, maybe some trouble shooting in the fuel line?This is a great boat to use as a mini yacht trawler for fun on the bay.
