Up for sale is a rare hot rod jet boat. It is a flat bottom nasa design, one of 13 made, will almost all the goodies imaginable! There was a lot of money dumped into it with no expenses spared. Engine is a chevy ls6, 500 hp with mufflers 550 without. It's a bench seat wonderboat, with hydraulic trim on the steering wheel. It has so many options I cant list them all. 850 holley double pumper just rebuilt by me, fuel system flushed, Brodix BB-2 heads, crane gold roller rockers, isky jet boat mechanical cam, All thels6 factory goodies too. I think the pump is a berekley jt-12.
I'd be scared to death to run this in the water, I only bought it for the bad 454 to put into a car, but things change and I'm looking into different things now. Cam swap gets you 700 hp, this thing is light and QUICK! 168 HRS only. Compression is 10.1/1, yeah pump super! Too much to list here, rare, flat bottom cruise missile!

I just want to add that this is a 1983, the trailer is a 1984 road king. Bassett twisty headers, twin batteries with switch, all stainless braided lines with a/n fittings, stainless steel bolts. The A1 impeller and wear ringwere replaced and not ran, discharge nozzle seems to be 2.5". The front hull is open so you can put lots of stuff in it like ski's etc, there is some storage as well under the seats. You are welcome to come check it out in person around my schedule.

I want to add a few more things. When the previous owner bought the hull new from his neighbor, he called his friend at GM, looking for the right powerplant, The guy at GM said "I have the perfect one, XXA and we are going to take that apart and balance, clearance, and blueprint it for you" Well, the rest is history... I'm a fussy guy, like the previous owner, and not being a boat guy I don't know them that well. There are 2 minor issues, The place diverter sending unit for the trim guage is not mounted securely, looks like 2 larger screws might do the trick. The other issue is the place diverter system. Sometimes it doesn't work, it doesn't leak and when it works it works perfect, there is either a bad connection for power, or ground.. The Guy I used to work for, well he is fussy too, but I'm moreso. He is labled :"The most famous race car driver of all time"... Man do I miss him... His advice for me with this boat was to wear a "helmet"Have a nice day :-)

It's funny"Mike" we will call him, went to launch the boat on the colorado (the only place this boat was ever in the water). The old guy, the owner of the marina, heard the rumble and came out to greet "Mike'This is too funny................ HaHaHaOld man "my son thinks he is hot chit, he has the baddest supercharged jet ski there is and he has never been beaten, never lost.... But I think this boat could take him, "wanna race him?" Mike says sure...OMG, I'm laughing out loud............... HaHaHaSo the bad ash and "Mike" line up in the river, the old man is at the end of the dock and drops his hat, "Mike" punches the wonder boat, 2 miles to the bridge, never looking back!I think I'm gonna phish myself... Ok here is how it happened.."Mike" makes it to the bridge, throws the anchor in, and he and his wife have lunch... When 5 min's later this kid on a jet ski approaches. He wanted to kill "Mike" and if he could walk on water I guess he would have tried..WoW......... Here is the end.."Mike" went back to the marina an hour later, The old man is there laughing his brains out, he says "you should have seen it, you punched it and knocked his $300 ray bans into the river, then the jet blew him off his jet ski! HaHaHa.... The moral of this story is, the old man was making payments on that hot jet ski, but if the kid lost, well you know how it ended....Jesus loves you!

Ok, last revision, the end is near, what you need to know and what I'm willing to do.What I was told by the original owner was that the timing is retarded, he did this because he thought a slight run on was caused by too much timing, so he backed it off. I do not have an advance light, so I cannot set it, but I would say that 36 degrees at 4k should work fine. It was caused by too much idle speed.The exact float levels have not been set, I eyeballed them upside down with the bowls off so they were square. The idle mixture has not been set either as I never reached full operating temp under load, easy to do. I would be willing to set the float levels, it's easy. That 4781-2 holley got the full overhaul, everything that came in the kit. It also has a wing nut for idle speed, so no tools required! The scoop has the spark arrestor in it but was never mounted because of adjustments that might be need to be done.The drive is still disconnected, either you want it that way or I will hook it back up, 10 min's, no big deal.. Your choice. The plugs are on their last leg, since the hour I ran it, not up to temp with that cam, no no, but oh well. I will include or install brand new NGK B8ES plugs, your choice.You need 2 new drain plugs, they are dry rotted, put one in the steering wheel, and the other one in the rear of the boat, in case you forget, and the boat is sinking, grab the one in the steering wheel I think it can be put in backwards from the inside of the boat...If you ever plan to go fast, make sure, if you have rear passengers, to put seatbelts in or they are going straight into the headers or over the boat. Caution should be the guide.Lastly, in case you don't know the MKIV LS6, It is a hipo/HD block with the oil cooler holes in it, Forged crank wich is tuffrided (nitride hardened), Dimple rods, Trw forged .250 pop up pistons, and a lot more. Throw that hydraulic roller cam in it and spring kit (rpm range 2500 to 6500), add nitrous if you want, 1000 hp won't kill it if you don't over rev it.) and be a "rockstar". OMG!Have a great day! :-)
