Quite probably the most efficient powerboat hull design ever put to the drawing-board by the famous Tom Fexas who went on to design 1,000s of boats for the world's top yacht builders.
This design had rolled through his head since his time as a young boy on the shores of Long Island Sound and came to fruition when he left his employment at the US Navy submarinedesignteam. For his first commercial effort, the boat was a huge success and quickly advanced him to the top of the field. Thus began the dawn of the "Picnic Boat" revolution, when years
later,companies like Hinkley, San Juan, Grand Banks, Vicem, Avalon and many others, began employing and marketing many of Mr. Fexas's original concepts.What makes his original design stand head and shoulders above the rest is, she cruises at 23-24 knots effortlessly, while just sipping approx. only 16 gallons per hour with her twin Yanmars.
(only 450 hours +or-)
REFIT HIGHLIGHTS
In the last 51/2 years she has received very special treatment from her owner to include of course the new Yanmar engines and ZF "V" drives, all new glass through-out, varnish complete
interior and exterior, "Awl-grip" paint on superstructure, decks and cockpit, all new appliances W/D, fridg, cooktop/oven, heads, antennas, electronics, deck-hardware etc. etc.
HISTORY;
She was built in '83 to support the East Coast Boat Show circuit that year, which is why, of the 13 in the US, she's the only one with full controls in the forward cockpit. (which provides for a
real "WIND IN YOUR FACE" experience!) After dutifully fulfilling her responsibilities as "Boat Show Queen" in '84, she was purchased by her orig. owner and moved to Lake Michigan where
she enjoyed the summer months plying the waters around Sturgeon Bay Wi. and spending the winters (Sept.- May) in heated, dry storage. In 2006, she received her new engines and moved
out west, where she resides again in the fresh waters of Seattle's urban wonder, Lake Union. Although she just turned 30, she shows little of her age due to her fresh water lifestyle and care
received over that span.BEST OFFER $$$$$$
Pretty Woman has been surveyed many times over the last few years mainly to keep insurance current but they all clearly reflect the care she has received as well as market conditions over
the years, they range from a high of $410K to a low and most recent of $325K. I will consider all offers within a reasonable lower doubledigit % points of the most recent survey.
