1980 Midnight Express 30 Open Bow with unique Racing style consoles located on the outskirts of Fort Worth, TX.This boat has a unique presence about her! Even with her subtle White hull with Gray, Blue and Black accents, this boat gets wide eyed stares. People try to speed up just to take pictures or get a good look. At the Ramp, every eye in the place will be on you, waiting to hear those giant 2 stroke V8's roar to life and see, what I can only describe as, one of the sexiest boats ever made. Gives me goose bumps just thinking about it. I am not looking forward to selling this boat. I love this boat, it's been in my family for almost it's entire life. But I have to let it go for a number of personal reasons. I hope my loss is your gain and you can give her a good second home.Little history and detail:Midnight Expresses were partly made famous to the rest of the world when they were the boat of choice for popular Movies/TV shows like Miami Vice. (TV got it right that time!)This particular boat was caught in Biscayne Bay "running like a bat out of hell" according to one LEO there the night she was caught with 2,000 lbs. of pot under the deck in '81. Shortly after that is when we acquired her.She has been completely refurbished and repowered with Evinrude Limited Edition 275's tuned up to 300-325hp by Second Effort racing in Miami. These monster motors are mounted to an aluminum racing hydraulic controlled jack plate that give you the ability to control the depth of the stainless steel props. This boat has only been run in fresh water since being refurbished and repowered.Since the owner was seriously injured surfing 20 years ago, the boat has been in indoor storage. Condition of motors is unknown. Buyer responsible for pick up, delivery is available if agreeable terms are met for both parties.Beautiful boat with a rich history. Low hours. Needs some TLC, is not turn key/water ready. The custom aluminum jack plate, giant trim tabs, deep V-dry hull, all make for an incredible boat that gives thrills for days. There really isn't such a thing as too rough of conditions for a boat like this. Some of the best days in her are slicing through 6 foot+ swells like nothing, without even getting wet! This is truly an open ocean boat that has been only run in fresh water.Midnight Expresses are still the boat of choice for the United States Law Enforcement community(coast guard, DEA, etc.) And these 80's hulls are a often sought out for their tough and dependable qualities, aka: Built like a tank! Why? Because this is a grand example of the other old saying, "They don't build 'em like they used to!"Literally built to race out to open sea, bump up against a freighter in the middle of the night, get loaded with thousands of pounds of narcotics, then run back across the gulf stream, and be faster than anything the police were running at the time. That demand makes for one hell of a solid and sleek boat!I would love to keep this boat, lots of rich history and family history tied to it but I now live in the New Mexico desert.With some cosmetic touch-ups and knew the condition of the motors I would be getting over $70,000. This is a bargain buy!I also have two aluminum aquatic "Bikes" I am willing to throw in if you select the buy now option or sell to you out right if you contact me.
