McCauley 52' Wide Body Trawler

Description: 52' long, wide body (18' beam!) trawler with 95% complete retrofit.

We did all the hard, expensive stuff, and ran out of funds to complete

the job, giving you the opportunity to finish the interior details just

the way you want it.

This boat was coast guard certified for 75 passengers.

There has been a crew of 3-5 experienced professional craftsmen working

full time on this boat for the past 3 1/2 years getting it ready for

you.

The hull has been completely gone through, including West Systems

treatment, and new fiberglass and finish paint over all hull surfaces.

New mahogany cap rail, new teak exterior ceiling and rear deck ceiling with recessed lighting and speakers.

52 Kg Solid stainless steel anchor, with new stainless steel chain and

roller, plus new windlass and new 24v alternator (anchor $10k, chain

$4k, roller $2k, windlass $12k = $28k).

New drip-less shaft system.

Hauled out just a few months ago, new bottom paint.

Morse electronic engine and transmission controls with 3 stations $24k system).

New German made battery bank with 12 x 2v Sonnenschein A600 800 Ah

batteries ($14k for the batteries alone, not counting cabling or

installation).

Engines start right up, no smoking or leaks.

Roomy engine compartment with easy access for maintenance.

New electronic gauge system with wireless monitoring is installed.

New hydraulic steering system.

New wiring and new hoses, filters, valves and pumps in the engine room.

Custom made stainless and teak ladder to top deck, custom made teak

sliding cover, custom made rear sliding door with tempered smoked glass.2 heads (one on fresh water, one on seawater), one large shower, and has

a huge main stateroom (14' x 32' approx), and an even bigger top deck.

12kw diesel generator --partialy rebuilt.

Floor plan (all measurements are estimates) main deck - 14'x32' open

stateroom, full walk around deck surrounding main cabin, 18' x 8'

covered rear porch, bow area open air 18'x 8'.

Below deck- under deck is separated into 6 watertight sections. 1-At

the bow, a small compartment for the anchor chains. 2-Next back, a 16'

wide by 8' deep compartment. 3-Next, an area compromising the stairway

leading to main stateroom, bathrooms on each side, large shower in one,

other one has doorway leading to an unfinished cabin. This cabin also

contains the day tank, about 500 gal diesel and the water heaters.

4-Next bulkhead back is the engine compartment 18' wide by 16' deep with

aisle way down it's center. One engine on each side of the aisle,

generator at aft end of bulkhead. Battery banks on each side. Access

to engine room is though a large, hinged hatch in floor of main deck

stateroom floor. 5- A below deck room 18' x 8', accessed by a large

hinged hatch in main stateroom. 6- Below deck storeroom 18' x 7' with

built in storage shelves and also including the trip tank, another 500

gal diesel. Access is by two lift off hatches in the deck of the stern

porch area. Top deck- large open top deck 18' x 38'

A new boat like this would cost well over $2M.
