1981 Marionette MotorYacht. All aluminum 37' boat with roomy interior cabin. Documented vessel.
First the bad.The boat was hulled out 5 years ago for welding and repairs to the aluminum hull. The job was botched badly by the welders and yard and as a result the hull has been compromised in may places. Corrosion has eaten through many spots in the hull rendering the boat un seaworthy. There are several pictures included which show the damage. To get this boat seaworthy again a major repairs ofthe hull are in order. Please remember this when bidding. Now for the good.
From the waterline up the boat is in excellent shape and has been used as a live aboard for the last year. The cabin is roomy with lots of teak. Headroom is 6'4". There is a large living area midships, a full galley and head forward, v-berth forward, and a stateroom aft with twin beds and another head with sink.
Galley has an electric stove, 6 gallon electric water heater, and electric fridge. 4 sinks and electric heads. Water tank holds 120 gals.
There is aport side helm in the main salon.
On top is a flybridge with the helm. All controls work except the rudder is currently frozen. There is a radar arch and older bimini top. There is also awindshield intact on the flybridge.
Aft is a deck with room for several chairs.
Overall, aside from the hull issues, the boat is in good condition and could be used again as alive aboard, providing the hull is fixed. Or it could be salvaged and stripped for parts, depending on your needs. Currently the boat is sitting in a yard in Key West and isavailable for inspection by appointment.
The most recent survey is from 2005 if you have any more questions.
Most all of the basic equipment such as lines, anchors, fenders, etc. is currently being removed so when you win this bid you will be getting the boat and not the required safety equipment.
Again, please look at the pictures carefully and understand thatthis boat will not float. It will need extensive repairs to the hull but if it is a project you are interested in, or want to salvage the boat for parts, or want to leave it on the hard and stay on it, it can be a good deal. As alive aboard it is quite comfortable and roomy.
Please do not hesitate to contact me for more information or toarrange to come and view the boat before you decide. The boat is currently in a boatyard in Key West and storage is paid up until the end of August. Buyer is responsible for any further storage fees and transportation costs.
The vessel is for sale locally and seller reserves the right to end the auction early if it sells.
