Horizon is a 1930 40 Ft. Double Cabin Cruiser

designed & built by the famous Luders boatbuilding yard in Stamford, CT.

There may be as few as 3 or 4 of these wonderful boats left. She has undergone

structural & systems upgrades and can be commissioned for immediate use.

Her interior layout is elegant yet retains all of her original beauty. She is

truly a dual stateroom cruiser with a forward stateroom having a large enclosed

head with hot & cold running water, a hanging locker & chest of drawers

& 4 berths. The aft stateroom has 2 berths, hanging locker & another

fully enclosed head with hot & cold running water. The 2 staterooms are

separated by the main salon which also has the helm and plenty of space for

friends to gather while underway. Forward of the main salon is a large galley

with a propane 2-burner stove, double sink with pressurized hot & cold

running water. The large forward & aft decks are also great places for

gathering while underway or at anchor. Horizon is powered by a 130 hp Ford

Lehman Diesel which has approximately 1200 hours on it. These engines

typically go 15,000 hours before needing an overhaul. The boat cruises at 12

knots burning an amazingly low 2 1/2 gallons an hour.

Systems include hot water heater for heads & galley, 30 amp 120 volt shore power, propane locker, 150 gallon fresh water tank, & allCoast Guard required equipment.This boat was used this past season & is now hauled out & covered for the winter. The boat is ready for an easy recommissioning for the spring. She will need some cosmetic care as all wooden boats do.
