This 1972 Lang 38 has been setup for living aboard comfortably whileriver / inland cruising. It is not intended for ocean use. It has a new rooftop air conditioner. The galley has a convection / microwave oven, new refrigerator / freezer and a large amount of cabinet space. Under the living area is a huge closet space that is accessed by a hatch door under the area rug with steps going down into the closet / storage area. This closet / storage area use to be the engine room before it was converted to being a houseboat inland cruiser. It is ideal for ICW or St. Johns rivercruising around Florida. The holding tank andfour fresh water tanks are made from 55 gallon polypropylene drums. It holds 200 gallons of fresh water and the holding tank holds 50 gallons.***ITEMS NOT INCLUDED IN SALE OF THE BOAT ARE: The TV, Stereo, gray chair, dragonfly lamp near bed, kayak, gray and white storage bin under desk.*******The boat has not moved in years and will need to have the outboard replaced. It will probably need new fuel line as well. It does have hydraulic steering and shifter controlsfor Johnson / Evinrude outboards. The boat has had an Evinrude 225 at one pointthen an E-Tec 75 and now has a Johnson 50 that needs to be replaced. The boat will do hull speed with a 50HPoutboard but if you want to deal with wind and current better a 90HP would be perfect. Using a larger outboard than 90 HP willonly waste fuel for doing hull speed (average sailboat speed - 6 knots) The outboard has a custom made rudder which is attached to the cavitation plate of the outboard. This makes the boat very easy to maneuver andcan be mounted to another motor. It is highly advisable to use the rudder for ease of maneuverability. *** Youcan keep the boat atthis marina in Cocoa Fl. but cannot live aboard here. The boat will also have to be moved to a different slip if it stays here. The next closest marina where you can haul the boat to do the necessary repairs, replace the motor and do a bottom jobis Harbortown marina on Merritt Island Florida. You can also inquire about a slip at Harbortown Marina as well as living aboard there. They have a swimming pool and restaurant on the premises.*** This boat is being sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS. The paperwork and bill of sale will be done by a maritime attorney who has an office in the building next to the marina. Again, you are buying a used boat that does need work and by bidding you are understanding this and are agreeing to completing the proper paperwork to transfer ownership.***The slip is paid upfor the month of May. By bidding and winning the auction you areagreeing to paying the slip rent Starting June 1st 2019or moving the boat out of the marina byMay 31st 2019***** Do not bid if you don't intend to pay.*****THE DEPOSIT IS NOT REFUNDABLE*****You are not bidding so you can decide later if you really want the boat after the auction has ended. These last statements are notintended to scare off serioushonest buyers, they are intended for the bidders who like to make up their own rules and waste sellers time and listing fees. Good luck on the auction. I know people will ask for a hint of the reserve so they are not wasting time on an auction they cant afford to win.Lets just say its a steal for a livaboard like this and is way under 7K... Way under...After PayPal deposit is made within the 48 hours the balance will be paid in cash and title transferred at my attorneys office next to the marina. If a cashiers check is used title will not be transferred until funds are cleared.
