LaBell Drag Boat

1972 wood deck 18' LaBell drag boatIn the mid 1970's the second owner of this LaBell had Paul Pfaff Engine shop build him a BBC blown and injected motor for this boat. Not included. The last picture is a picture of that motor in this boat. He hooked up with Ron Bolton and his father to do all fabrication and rigging in this boat. I bought this boat in 1999 without the motor. I had Harlin Orren redo the wood deck. I commissioned John Miller to do the restoration on the boat. He glassed the new deck, blueprinted the bottom,sprayedspeed coat on the bottom, painted it pearl white, filled in all the holes in the stringers except a few that were important to line the parts back up. Put ribbonmahoganyplywood in the bottom of the boat,jellcoated the stringers black. It has the original tandem trailer with original 13" wheels and new tires on the trailer. In the day this boat was show quality and I was following up with that theme. I just ran out of time to complete this project. This was a river boat. I have all parts that came out of this boat.
