Arlan Curtis, bread from racing heritage built a few custom race boats back in the 70's. This is a light layup hull that was setup originally with a Big Block Chevy and run as a ski boat for its limited time on the water. Stringers and Transom are 100% without compromise as well as no stress cracks in the gelcoat. Some areas had exposed fiberglass but grey spray paint was used trying to add to the patina. Casale 1.15 over driven v-drive and a 3-blade prop have been gone through and installed, as well as cavitation plate, strut and shaft seal. see http://www.v-drivehistoryport.com/kurtis.html for the history of this builder. The floor was covered in balsa and painted 14 years ago and has been parked in the back of my shop collecting dust ever since then. There are some cracks in the resin over the floor but its not hard to make those disappear. All parts included, Nicson cam driven water pump, aluminum duck butt exhaust, calgo cable steering recently overhauled by Calgo in California and not yet installed. Original gauges, and all the polished aluminum hardware included. Seats are out of an eliminator Daytona but I think they work. The tach hole in the dash had a crack from someone's fat butt but it was professionally repaired, Bulkhead is solid and you can walk over the bow. The bolt holes from a ski rack were filled and primed before the whole boat was shot with clear. Tandem axle trailer was originally hot pink but has been painted black and could use some touching up but there is no rust and the trailer is still in near perfect condition. The left fender is creased and will have to be fixed or replaced. New tires in November of 2018. Removable tongue to fit easily in the garage. Reg has been paid every year because it was always the next project on the list that never got finished. Many racers have tried to buy this from me over the years but my plans and convictions were too strong at the time. I would really like to see this boat move into the right hands so we'll start the bidding off with the value of the trailer.
