I bought this boat from and older gentleman in Sacramento back in June 2018. My plan was to abandon the engine (sell it), then convert it into a solar powered electric boat. I never followed through. Instead bought a new jon boat and built my solar/electric boat from scratch.

I've never put the boat in the water, but when I bought it the old fella and I started it up with rabbit ears and the engine ran just fine. He said everything was operational and that he had only used the boat 3-4 times in the last 3-5 years. Said his fishing buddy had died and so he just didn't use the boat.He also said the engine had recently been serviced and that all cylinders had good compression. He noted that the 12v battery was new (in June, though it's been sitting indoors since). I seriously bought the boat, parked it in my warehouse, then never touched it. I paid $2500 for it, and I felt it was a good deal at the time, having shopped for a couple months.The trailer is fine. The boat towed effortlessly on the 150 mile trip from where I bought to my home. The wood floor has substantial rot in a few areas. I have clear title for both the boat and trailer, from the previous seller. I never formally transferred the boat or trailer into my name, because pretty much as soon as I brought home, I changed my mind in moving forward with my planned project.I will not ship this boat.
