Keaton

As much as I would love to keep this boat, I could use the money. I am in the middle of a major home remodel and have gone over budget. But I'm not giving it away either. I don't need to sell it THAT bad. Reserve is less than the cost of the engine rebuild. This boat is VERY fast and rides nice. Not nearly as bouncy as most other boats of this type. Keaton's are well made hulls. I am a retired mechanic and I have to say this is one of the best running motors I have seen. I was cruising at 3200 RPM (roughly 40mph) and hit the gas and it pushed me back in the seat. I don't know what the top end is, ran it at 5000 RPM for a minute (probably 65-70mph) & it had more to go. Didn't miss a lick. I didn't want to push it too hard with the new motor. It is just broke in.1975 Keaton estimated at over 425HP. 455 Olds Rocket / Berkeley Jet. Over $20k in receipts for work done over the past 20 years. The previous owner spared no expense. Every bit of work professionally done. Fires right up every time. Documented $7500 complete engine rebuild with Crane cam, lifters & valve springs with less than 20 hours run time on the new motor. This will change as I plan on using it until it sells. Stringers were replaced not long ago. Everything is new or rebuilt except the hull. Everything works, gauges, lights, etc. New running light sockets & bulbs. Comes with 4 new life preservers, fire extinguisher, anchor, horn, ski flag, O'Brien water ski & ropes. Needs nothing. Trailer has 4 new tires & bearings. Current registration, titles in hand.New, with receipts:

I posted some of the receipts I have so you can see some of what has been done. Less than 100 hrs on documented $2k Jet rebuild. Paint is fair, Top deck was repainted recently, so-so job. It looks good from 10' away. :) Interior fair. Seams are starting to come apart in a couple places on the front seats. Runs excellent. If you know anything about boats then you know about Keaton's.
