This is an duplicate in my collection,it has had a new floor and transom,New Rubrail,Gel coat is good,The engine is a 18hp electric start it does start and run fine but the electric start is missing part of harness, I do have registration for the boat, any questions please call be fore bidding phone

This has had a new floor and transom it has been raised to help performance,it need the seats and door panels finished,they are cut and ready for material, the steering is in it and working it is the original cable pully system, the hardware is original and decent not show qulity chrome,,windshield has a small crack but I have the new one if you ever wanted to replace itThe white floor is all nice fresh cobwebbed like the original,,I have the original wis reg that you just sign and reassign to you,, the trailer is from wis that they don't title under 3,000lb,, so it will be on a bill of sale call if any questions ,It is for sale locally so I reserve the right to close auction early,phone

My grandfather Irvin E. Cook and son invented this boat in the 50s near his home in Syracuse and I'd ride in it when visiting he and my grandma Janette. He was a chemist that figured out how to make fiberglass durable for consumer products like this and arrows, fishing rods, underground shelters, etc. My aunt showed me his drawings. His marketing partner was a Mr. Wilson and their company name was Wil-Co. Unfortunately, his partner ran off with the money though since my grandpa was a genius and didn't trust anyone with written formulas! Wilson went on to make a huge stolen fortune with Wilson tennis rackets. Do you know if the company still exists? Where did you buy this from?

I don't think your grandfather invented this boat. Mine and a friend of his did. Jetra is a combonation of my fathers name and their last name. you are correct in the story that a third person made bad choices... but my family did the volksboats/jetra's.
