This boat took over 1 year to build (2010-2011) and has been stored since, never been put in the water or used. These type of Hand built boats take skill, pride, ownership, and dedication with a lot of love and the prices reflect that, upwards of $7,000.Before the builder started this project he built an exact scale model to understand the process. The plans show it being Cedar wood but I was told it was Teak. I know nothing about wood so I can not confirm.The original owner purchased it from the builder and shipped it home in a U-Haul. After getting it home health problems kept him from using it. It sat under a 3 sided carport till I purchased it. The included trailer has 400 miles on it from when I picked it up. I purchased it for the grandkids to use on our lake but was "out voted" for a paddle boat. Because the boat sat it has not been maintained as it should have been and there are reflections of that. The most visible is the Clear Fiberglass on the sides and stern. I had a craftsman look at it and he said there was no structural issues and the fiberglass could easily be fixed.
