Up for auction is a Navy SEAL HSB, by industry legend Halter Marine. Designated HSAC MK MOD 2 HIGH SPEED ASSAULT CRAFT. SN: S-65. 39' length, 9' beam with a 3' draft. The light weight and super strong Kevlar/graphite hull allowed this HSB to take the impact of an airdrop from a C-130 or a helicopter into the open seas, (see photo of similar boat). There are 4 fuel tanks with 4 fill ports, 400 gal total. Boat has a powered forward weapons or equipment hatch and a rear retractable weapons or equipment tower. Craft has been DEMILed by the Navy. Obviously all weapons have been removed. They run a forklift through the hull to discourage further use. There is a gash on the port side starboard side, top side, and a cut in the transom. These hull skin gashes are actually very simple to repair. No structural members were damaged other than the cut in the transom. The hull itself is still strong, straight, and super rigid. The engines and drives have been removed. I believe they were originally twin gas engines of 650 HP ea with 3# Speedmaster drives. The under hull silent exhaust is still intact. This particular version of this High Speed Assault Craft seems to be a more stealthy model with blacked out running lights, all recessed deck hardware, concealed engine drives, and under hull exhausts.
This is one serious wicked bad-ass boat. The hull restorations are actually quite simple. The expensive part is the big power with bullet proof drives that you will need to do this boat justice. Done correctly, the "Holy son of a b**** " factor for this boat far exceeds what you will ever get from a Cigarette, Fountain, or Donzi. All great boats, but pull up to the dock in a Halter Marine High Speed Assault Craft that has seen combat in the Persian Gulf....Like seriously...
Boat is sold AS/IS. No title but I do have the transfer document from the government with the Halter Marine pedigree. Unsure of themfg date but boat is likely early 90's. Hi, I'm Wayne.
I'm seeing these "assault craft" ads [Denver, Co., btw], and spotted the thread about you having one as recently as last year.
You have one that's assembled?
How much do you want for it?
What state is it in? [physical and condition]
What powers these things?
I know this is a long shot but is this still available and or does anyone know of one forsale?
