The Gulfstar 38 Motor Cruiser would be the perfect vessel for the Great Loop or summer live aboard. The vessel has an abundance of room, is easy to move around on, has a huge amount of storage and is powered by economical Perkin Diesel Engines. During 2011 the owner installed a Brazilian Cherry Sole throughout the vessel which looks beautiful next to the Teak interior. The vessel is for sale as the owner and his wife are looking for a smaller vessel more adapted for fishing .

The owner has read all the log information on the boat and has come to these conclusions which may or may not be entirely true.
The vessel spent most of its years in FL. The forth owner lived in Kingston NY on the Hudson River and hired a captain to deliver the boat north. This forth owner was not much of a boater and used the vessel very little during the first three years of ownership. The forth, fifth and six year of ownership the vessel sat on the hard. The fifth and present owner bought the Gulfstar during the fall of 2010 and brought it to Brewerton NY. The new owner worked on the vessel during the winter of 2010 and 2011 and then did a cruse back down the Hudson to the NY City and Long Island area during the summer of 2011. During this trip the vessel performed perfectly and the owner came home very happy with his boat.
The owner also tells me that reading the ships logs he gets the impression the Gulfstar did the Great Loop. The ships log has no indication of any damage being done to the vessel or any mechanical problems.
All the navigation equipment on the vessel works but is dated by today's standards. The owner has replaced the old Depth finder with a Garmin Map 5212and a new in hull transducer.
