Up for sale is a like new 2008 10 foot motor dinghy from Great Lakes Boatbuilding Company. Great Lakes Boatbuilding Company has been producing small wood boats since 1985. Run by expert boat builder Mike Kiefer, Great Lakes is currently building stock dinghy's for yachtsmen and Whitehall rowing and sailing boats. The boats are built to the highest standards in wood construction and are beautiful, strong and long lasting. His boats have been featured in numerous pictures including Pirates of the Caribbean and Lemony Snicket.This is the first classic wood dinghy specifically designed to take a 2hp outboard motor. The keel is straight giving the boat a planing bottom. The wider, thicker transom will support a 30 to 35lb outboard motor. This dinghy is stable, seaworthy, handsome and light weight at 55 pounds. Construction is okoume marine plywood planking glued with epoxy. All other parts of the boat are cedar for light weight and longevity. Three bench seats, one pair of oars, a boweye, oarlocks and a motor pad to protect the transom make for a complete package. The 10 foot motor dinghy is designed and built to be a beautiful, strong and long lasting classic wood dinghy for the yachtsman who wants a tender to compliment his fine yacht.This boat was originally hand built in South Haven, MI in 2008 and delivered to the owner in South Carolina thereafter. There are less than ten hours on the boat. Stored indoors at all times on a rack, this boat has been in a single family since being built. There are no damages, blemishes, or issues to speak of. All of the rigging, varnish, exterior paint, and detailing is in perfect condition. Would make a great rowboat for your lake or river and also amazing as a piece of art!
