Up for sale is my 2010 Godfrey Marine Sweetwater 2486 coastal edition pontoon She is powered by 2010 Yamaha 75 HP 4 stroke that has just been major serviced including impeller, lower unit oil etc. The motor is still under transferable factory Yamaha warranty until 5/22/2017. So 3 more years of 100% engine coverage with no deductable to the high bidder. The pontoons have been bottom painted since new with etching primer followed by super expensive trilux 33. The bottom job cost almost $2500. This pontoon rigged as this one is is would cost over $35,000 if you ordered it today. This exact pontoon is still being built today. Here is a link

Nothing has ever been done to the boat or motor except 100 hour services, tune ups, filters, oil changes and impellers. She has started and performed flawlessly every time. There was a recall on the engine harness. It was replaced at no charge. This boat sips fuel. It holds 18 gallons and you cant run it out in a day no matter how far you go.
This is a very roomy pontoon. It is rated for 12 people. It has a good stereo and Yamaha Command Link gauges. It has a changing room which can also work as a head. It has a nice big Bimini top to keep you out of the sun. The front seats are more sun faded and dried out than the rear.
I ALWAYS call what is right and what is wrong with my stuff that I sell on classifieds board. Do not believe for a second that there are any 2010 boats that are perfect. They were not perfect when they were brand new. Yet sellers and dealers do not disclose any problems until you are the high bidder and you go to pick up the boat. I call it like it is and show pictures of any issues. There are no secrets with my listing. That is why my rating is 100%. Look at my history. I sell high dollar items often.
I am unaware of anything else that is wrong with the boat other than what I have listed below.
- There is typical sun fade on this boat. It is not stored in the winter as we can
boat year round.
- I have owned this boat since brand new. It has never been sunk nor had any kind
of major damage.
- It has scuffs and scrapes from normal use.
- The motor has been sprayed with corrosion X since new
and is in above average condition.
- There is a slight stain in the rubber floor out front
(pictures) coastal edition boats have
commercial rubber floors instead of carpet. This was one of the first years for
it. Now most pontoons have rubber
floors. No mildew, Easy to clean, non
slip.
- The rub rail around the boat has been rubbed. It shows normal scuffs (pictures)
- The weakest thing on the boat is the seats. The fronts have some sun fading and have
slight cracking in areas. The rears
are in much better shape under the Bimini.
I would say that they are good for 3 more seasons before they need
to be recovered. If the boat is
covered they might last longer than that.
- The prop looks good.
- All systems operate as designed.
- The play pen has normal scrapes and a few slight
ripples in the panels from bumpers and pilings that have bumped them over
the years.
- Overall the boat is in average condition. I would rate it 7 on a scale of 1 to 10.
- The left rear of the boat rubbed up on a wood
piling. I have shown a close up picture
of the area. If you look close at
it is scraped and dented. From 5
feet away it looks decent.
- The decals have some scuffs and scrapes.
- This boat was used in brackish water so there is some
slight corrosion on pontoons and frame.
This is not major. It is on
the surface only and I would consider the condition average.
- Solid Floors, Solid transom no structural issues
whatsoever
- The stereo sounds good.
The speakers have cracked grills (pictures)
- This boat was always rinsed after each use.
- The trailer is not included in the auction. It is also not for sale as I need it for my new pontoon.
- The Helm and controls look good and have little sun
fade or wear.
- Please do not come to pick the boat up and think that
this will be a like new or super pristine or super nice boat. It is not. It is an average boat in average
condition.
- Bid on the boat.
You will not be disappointed.
Finally, this is a no reserve auction. You might wonder why I sell my stuff with no reserve starting at a penny. It is because I have had a ton of success offering everything in a real auction setting selling to the high bidder. I have also found that the price it brings is what someone is willing to pay. With that said, the high bidder at auction end will be the new owner. Bid on it. This is an auction. Please have permission from your wife, husband, father, mother, sister, brother, partner, banker, bookie or anyone else that could halt the purchase BEFORE you bid on my boat. I report all none paying bidders to classifieds board. I do not cancel any of my auctions. I do not end auctions early. If you want this boatbid on it. You cant buy it any other way. Money must clear my bank and be in my account for me to release the boat and sign over the ownership paperwork. This must take place within 7 days of auction end unless other arrangements are made. Of course if the boat is not as I represented it then I would not expect you to buy it and will refund deposits. Thanks and happy bidding.
