Godfrey Hurricane Hurricane 202GS

Up for sale is a 2008 Godfrey Hurricane GS202 Sundeck. She is powered by Yamaha 150 4 stroke outboard that runs perfect. This is a great all around boat that gets very good fuel economy. It is plenty fast enough to ski or tube behind and is rated to carry 10 people. I am selling this for a friend that bought it brand new. I have known him since 2009 and have never known this boat to have been anything but a great boat for him. He serviced it annually and it was used an average amount of time per season. It was stored in a dry stack storage building much of its life but it has been outside some as well. He has decided to get out of boating and asked me to sell it for him. He is nervous but Iconvinced him to sell it with No Reserve.

I ALWAYS call what is right and what is wrong with the stuff that I sell on classifieds board. My 100% rating proves that. Do not believe for a second that there are any 2008 boats that are perfect. They were not perfect when they were brand new. Yet sellers and dealers do not disclose any problems until you are the high bidder and you go to pick up the boat. I call it like it is and show pictures of any issues. There are no secrets with my listing. That is why my rating is 100%. I am unaware of anything else that is wrong with the boat other than what I have listed below.

• This boat was just professional compounded and waxed it

  shines like new

• The bottom of the boat has fresh coat of bottom paint.
• The motor and drive operate properly
• The motor has just been major serviced, filters, oil,

  impeller, within the last 15 hours.

• The engine looks brand new under the cowling.
• The engine was sprayed with corrosion guard when it was

  brand new.

• The engine cowling has a few light scratches but

  overall is in excellent condition.

• The engine compression ratios are as follows on a cold

  motor. #1=155psi #2=155psi #3=160psi #4=160psi. Yamaha minimum compression for the F150

  is 135psi within 10%

• There is PLENTY of life left in this motor.
• The rub rail around the boat has been rubbed. It shows normal wear (pictures)
• One front driving light does not work.
• This boat has hydraulic steering that makes steering

  easier. (many do not)

• Striping is in good shape.
• It has a water ski rope pole but it is stuck in the up

  position. Works great.

• The seats were professionally recovered with very high

  quality vinyl last season and are in better shape than the original seats

  when new.

• The bimini top is in good shape, with some small dents

  on the stainless framing.

• The switches and dash plastics have some sun fading.
• The batteries and cables are new this year.
• There are virtually no chips or scrapes in this

  boat. It is better than average

  condition.

• There is slight spider web cracking in one spot by the

  water fill. Hard to notice really.

• The gauges were upgraded to new Yamaha command link

  digital gauges last year.

• There is a brand new Garmin Fish Finder that was added

  this year.

• High quality marine stereo works great new last year.
• This boat is solid.

  Solid Floors, Solid transom no structural issues whatsoever.

Overall this boat is in above average shape for its age. It is an 8.5 on a scale of 1 to 10. That does not mean that it is brand new. If you want a great used boat this one is for you. If you want a new one like this get ready to plunk down $40,000 plus.

The trailer is a 2013 or 2014model year20 ft single axle aluminum trailer with torsion suspension. It is owned by me not the boat owner. It is like brand new. I really do not want to sell it but if you are the high bidder and you just have to have a trailer I would sell it for $2300. The reason for the price is that I would just have to go down and buy another to use on my boat. New ones are about $2800. You are welcome to bring a trailer and we will take the boat for a spin and put it on your trailer to go home. Plenty of used trailer are out there as well.

Finally, this is a no reserve auction. The high bidder at auction end will be the new owner. Bid on it. This is an auction. Please have permission from your wife, husband, father, mother, sister, brother, partner, banker, bookie or anyone else that could halt the purchase BEFORE you bid on my boat.
