Glasspar Sport Lido Series

Up for sale is my 1959 Glasspar Sport Lido Runabout boat with original Evinrude 35hp 50th Jubilee 1959 motor. One owner with meticulous attention to keeping it clean, serviced and in good running condition over the past 56 years. Used only in fresh lake water for each 3 month summer season in Illinois. Stored in boat house garage for each 9 month period when not in use. If you are looking for a super clean, well kept boat for trips to the local swimming holes, fishing, pulling a tube or skier, look no further! This boat will also appeal to the collector or a refurbisher that wants the parts for a winter project.The Boat:This blue and white beauty has reupholstered seats in very good condition. With two front seats and a back bench, up to 5 people can enjoy a ride in this vintage classic. As quoted in the original brochure "A frisky, light-hearted boat ideally suited to fishing, water sports, runabout and general utility. Hard chine hull design for riding comfort, fingertip steering!" The sloping after-deck has a hinged hatch where the gasoline tank and battery is stored. A lock was added for extra security (key provided). Original steering wheel, windshield, emblems, working speedometer, light and horn. A antifouling paint by Interlux was applied to the bottom of the boat to make cleaning it a breeze (it blocks the slime!). Lake build-up simply wipes right off.The Engine:This super clean original Evinrude Lark 35 HP motor is included with the boat. It has been well maintained and serviced over the years for my family's enjoyment. I have receipts for the repairs and refurbishing. The engine was last running in July, 2015. It may need to be repaired upon purchasing (I believe it is the carburetor that needs work). This engine pulled all of my children and grandchildren up on skis! Additional items included: Two vintage gas tanks and the original Glasspar brochures and Evinrude manual (see pictures) A custom cover purchased in 2011 for over $500 is in excellent condition and keeps water out, even with Chicagoland storms.Take a look the pictures and contact me with any questions.
