Fun little classic boat. I'll try and be as detailed as possible here so you know exactly what you're bidding on. First, some general information:-1959 Glasspar G3, center deck model (offered through 1961). The original Hull Identification Plate is missing, so I can't be certain what number boat this was or where it was made. It has been inspected by the Mississippi Department of Fisheries and Wildlife and assigned a HIN, but it's not the original number and contains no identifying information about the boat other than to whom it's registered to. -1959 Mercury Mark 58A outboard, 45hp.-Original (I'm assuming) trailer-Always stored indoors in my garageThe boat:Hull is in good shape, no damage or leaks. The fiberglass does have spider cracks in the gel coat on the front deck and along the sides of the cockpit, but no structural damage. This is typical of older fiberglass boats and is strictly cosmetic. The transom is solid, no rot or cracks at all in the gel coat. Some paint chips in the black areas, but nothing major. Teleflex cable steering, works as it should, no binding. Horn and navigation lights function as they should. Ignition switch has two keys and works fine. Quicksilver Twin Lever controls (one for throttle, one for F-N-R) with new Seastar control cables. Two new 6-gal fuel EPA fuel tanks w/EPA fuel line and connectors. (I know the pictures only show one.) Battery is 2 years old but holds a charge as it should. Boat will do about 34mph with one person, 30mph with two, and cruises at about 25 with the current motor. The engine:Original to the boat (I'm assuming), 45hp 2-stroke, electric start, manual choke. Shows some wear on the exterior, chrome and lower housing. Quicksilver two-blade bronze prop. Electric start works perfectly, pull-rope backup. Water pump works as it should, but I'm not sure how old the impeller is. Fuel pump was rebuilt recently. Both carbs have steel float needles w/brass seats (allows the use of ethanol gasoline up to E10 without damage to needle seals). New spark plugs. Lower unit in great shape, no oil leaks. The trailer:Not too much info about the trailer. It's in decent shape, some surface rust. Bearings seem to be good. Not sure how old the tires are, but I have never needed to add any air to them, they hold pressure with no leaks. No signs of dry rot, but I don't know if I would trust them on a cross country trip.*The Bad*The engine will start up and idle like a champ. Above about 1/2 throttle though, it bogs down and doesn't produce any power. Unfortunately, 1/2 throttle won't even plane the boat. This started the last time I had it out. I was literally cruising along at about 3/4 throttle on glass smooth water, and all of a sudden the motor just lost power. I ended up idling back to the ramp. I took it out once more just to verify, and had the same problem. I've put hundreds of dollars into the boat already, and it's always been slightly finicky, so I'm offering it up to someone who wants to work on it. It's a great little boat and motor, but I bought it to enjoy, not to work on every weekend. As a note, because so many people ask, I have not had the compression checked. I am not an outboard mechanic, nor can I diagnose whatever the problem is. I tried to be as descriptive as possible, but feel free to ask if you have any further questions. I'm not going to ship or transport it anywhere. If you would like to hire someone to move it for you, you can do so, but when it leaves my garage I am no longer responsible for it. Located in Gulfport, MS. Potential buyers are welcome to come check it out in person, and I will start it up on the hose in my driveway. No PayPal or personal checks, just cash or cashier's check/money order please. There are no titles to the trailer or boat (no titles in 1959), but I will include a Bill of Sale, which is all you need to transfer ownership/register.

Questions
Is this 1959 Glasspar G3 still available ?
Do you still have the 1959 Glasspar G3 boat ?
Is this still available??
Dear Sir : I know the hoops you have to jump through, I think you have covered it . If you're serious about sending it off somewhere I know of a tramp steamer that takes people on trips down the Panama canal 🙂 or I could give it a real good home here in Ormond Beach FL. Please call if you do still have I would take very good care of her 😊 Leslie ***

would like to come get it... please call me ***
Thank you very much for your quick response. The G3 is a remarkable boat. Quick starts with remarkable agility. I keep it in the boat house on white cap days and scream around with it on other days. So glad I made the trip to pick up the G3. Over 600 miles one way but well worth the effort. Thanks again and I’ll treat her like a queen !!!
Is g3 still available?
