Glasspar Flying V

Im helping a friend of mine sell his 1968 Glasspar "Flying V" boat. He is theoriginal purchaser of this boat.It was in his garage for theprevious 30 years under a cover as you can see. This is a real "Time Capsule". The engine looks as if it were new. He says he did not use the boat many times when he had a place on the lake. He was working on the land more than he was on the water. He always towed it home each week when he went to the lake so he could store it in the garage.

Today we pulled it out of the garage since it was a clear day. We basically pulled the cover off andwiped it down with window cleaner. The engine has not beencleaned, this is the way it looked when the engine cover was removed. This boat is very solid, nothing has been touched up. The floor is just dirty, a stiff brush and soap should clean it.

I did place the shifter into gear and turned the prop by hand andwatchedthe flywheel turn. Movement of the throttle advanced thedistributorand carb linkage.

I did not attempt to start it. It needs fuel hoses as the primmer bulb is hard. the owner says he always disconnected the fuel and let it run out of fuel before storing.He is looking for the titles. I do not have them in hand as I'mwriting this.
