1935 Gar Wood Split Cockpit restored about 4 years ago with a 5200 bottom and original re-manufactured Chrysler Ace engine
Description: 

1935 Gar Wood 16-35 Split Cockpit hull number 5640 documented by the Gar Wood Society. Boat underwent a 4-year restoration several years ago and gets used in the fresh water of Candlewood Lake. 5200 no soak bottom, white oak frames replaced and new African Mahogany planking. Most of the hardware and gauges were original to the boat as was the Chrysler Ace engine all of which were re-manufactured to their original condition. Boat still shines beautifully, starts right up and rides in the water like only a Gar Wood can. Comes on a new Venture trailer and can travel any distance with no concerns. I have many more pictures available from the restoration upon request. You could not come close to restoring the boat for what the reserve is set at.
