Galaxie 18' Ski/Speed

Up for auction is a 1986 Galaxie 18' Speed/Ski boat with a 4.3L Chevy V6 engine and an OMC Stringer stern drive. Boat was bought in Southern California, and has always been used here locally in fresh waters. Original motor has very low hours. Boat was used extremely minimally since 2000.

Single owner since new! I will include all original sales documentation and owners manuals (OMC sterndrive, trailer and axles) to winning bidder.

This boat is turn key and in good vintage condition. Original gelcoat has been recently color-sanded and buffed/polished. Boat has a decent shine, however there are surface stress cracks and checking over top portions. Please view/enlarge pictures for exact details. Boat has been stored outdoors since new, under a canvas cover and a tarp. Cover will be included with the sale.

Floor has been professionally redone/replaced in 1996, receipt will also be included.

No fiberglass damage, or any soft spots anywhere.

Engine is the original Chevy 4.3L V6 262ci that came with the boat from the factory. Very low hours are clearly evident. There are no oil leaks or any rust. Bilge area extra clean. Engine as been freshly tuned up with acarburetor rebuild, new cap/rotor, spark plugs and an oil change. Original OMC marine oil filter was used as well as an OMC fuel water filterseparator.Has a new deep cycle marine battery.

Outdrive has been rebuilt with new prop-shaft, gears and a new shift cable, and all seals in 1998. Receipt will be included. At the same time, a new tilt motor was also installed. Outdrive shift forward and reverse very smoothly and everything works properly.Hydraulic engine trim has been deleted. Currently has a 15x17 aluminum prop and Doel-Fin horizontal hydrofoil stabalizer fins.

Everything electrical works well and gauges mark properly, even the fuel gauge. Has two 11gal aluminum saddle tanks with tank selector switch.

Shift/throttle cable controls are in good operating condition.

Boat and engine run excellent, very comfortable on the water andplentyfast.

Interior has been replaced a number of years ago. All wood is in excellent condition, and has been resin coated. At the same time, new carpet was installed. Engine has a full wood and fiberglass cover with a hinged lid. Great safety item when swimming, entering/exiting the boat or with small children aboard. Front two swivel seats have minor sun cracking on upper portions.

Boat has a very nice fitting removableBiminitop with boot. Also has an excellent floor mounted stainless steel ski pylon with supports.

Included with the boat sale will be everything needed to go boating: 4 life vests, type 4 throwable, fireextinguisher, wooden oar, ski flag, anchor with chain/rope.

I also have a crate with spare outdrive parts, trailer parts/lights, Seloc OMC service manual andmiscellaneous hardware.

Trail-Rite trailer is in excellent condition withabsolutelyno damage. Has four newer tires, and all trailer lights work.

Inside fender wells have new resined wood panels. Trailer tows well, and can be towed anywhere with no issues. Has apermanenttrailer license plates.
