I simply do not use this rig much anymore so Ive decided it should go to someone that will run it. The boat is a 70s B hydro built by Craig Bowman. I was told it is one of only two hydros that Craig built. It was built using ribbon mahogany and is beautiful. Ive never seen another one like it. There was a repair done to a couple of areas (bottom and port side) of soft wood about four years ago and the repairs have held upperfectly. I've run it with everything from a KG7H to a Mark 20H conversion. It performs great with any "B" motor. Very fast but also very stable. The trailer is in excellent condition and was modified with a bow stop and lighter suspension specifically for this boat.
The Mark 20H motor was purchased from Dick Duncan in 07. The powerhead was assembled by John Schubert and the gearcase was done by Ron Thomas (the Foot Doctor). It has been my usual runner for the last five plus years. The boat was typically run only two or three times a summer, so the motor has maybe five or six hours on it since I bought it.It has excellent 1:1 gears and has been converted to a fuel pump.
Thislisting is for the complete package as pictured with the green and gold Mark 20H. It does not include the red and silver motor in the first picture. That was sold a few years ago. This is vintage racing stuff so it is sold as-is with no returns. If you have questions, ask them before buying.
Theboat is located in northern Wisconsin and would need to be picked up. I can also deliver for free to the Tomahawk AOMCI meet in August. Payment in full would be due at time of purchase. I also have this rig listed locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
