Elliot Bay Steam Launch Co. Custom Built Fan-Tail Launch.

The fan-tail launch has a fiber-glass hull, which waspurchased in 1984 from the Elliot Bay Steam Launch Co. The cabin and super structure was designed bythe owner and is based on designs of the 1890s (taken from old plans andphotographs). The construction on the boat was done by the owner, over a periodof 5 years.

The top deck is Alaska Yellow Cedar and Teak planking all ofwhich was glued and screwed with silicon bronze fasteners to the fiberglassdecking. The exterior floor is marine plywood, topped with Alaska Yellow Cedarand Teak. The interior floor is topped with Alder and Mahogany. The Cabin has a mahogany frame, and hasmahogany sides and trim. The roof is a compound curve made of strips of mahoganydoor skin, and topped with fiberglass mat. The windows are Lexan.

The vessel is powered by a Yanmar diesel 1 GM 6.5 hp engine. There is currently 346hours on the engine. The top speed is 6Knots, under full power sipping a 1 liter of diesel per hour out of a 12 galfuel tank.

The boat has a V-berth that sleeps 2 adults comfortably. Thecabin has a 2-burner stove and a stainless steel sink. It has a 9 gal freshwater tank, porta-potty, and a built-in electronic cooler. There is a tablethat stows away for use on the outside deck.

The fan-tail launch has always been carefully maintained andstored on-the-hard and under cover on its EZ loader galv. Trailer. The brakes on the trailer were recentlyrebuilt.

Our family has enjoyed boating in this lovely boatthroughout the waters of the Salish Sea, the lakes of western and easternWashington, and the water of Desolation Sound. The boat has been a wonderfuland economical cruising boat for our family of 6 for the past 30 years

A Marine Survey was done on April 30, 2018 by Nor-Pac MarineSurveyors, with a report that the vessel is in above-average condition with afair estimated market value of $39,000.00 and an estimated replacement value of$165,000.00
