1979 EBKO Marquis 16' Closed bow runabout / ski boat.... Has a 140 Hp Mercuiser 3.0 (181 cid 4 cylinder Chevy). Done within the last month---new Gimbel bearing, drive bellows, exhaust bellows, shift bellows, Steering cable, water pump in outdrive, fresh gear oil in outdrive... pressure check on outdrive, gas tank drained and flushed... motor last run in the fall and was properly winterized / fogged out. Motor has electronic ignition. Carb may or may not need rebuild to be perfect in the spring (Rochester 2 bbl). I bought this boat and did all of the repairs (I'm a certified Mercruiser tech...) and planned on running it this summer but have had needs /priorities change and I need to sell it at this time. I have the matching boat in a bow rider and they are extremely fast and agile... they will turn on a razors edge and will run 45+ flat out with half a tank of fuel and just you. Mine would run 40+ full of fuel and gear and the wife and 2 kids. Boat is located in Andover CT 06232 and will need to be picked up there... Thanks Tony I will get more pics if anybody is interested... just ask.
4/12/2017 UPDATE / RELIST
Original high bidder / winner changed there mind and doesn't want it--never even came out and looked. So... I pulled the cover back and put a good battery in it and 5 gallons of good fresh gas. It started right up and purrs like a kitten---I have a video of it running if anybody would like to see it send me an email requesting it and I can text or email it too you. It pumps water fine, runs cool as a cucumber and has 40 lbs of oil pressure at idle. Whats it need---well a couple of the gauges flit around which is typical of dirty connections on the sending unit--- the shifter needs to be adjusted as it goes squarely into reverse but not so much forwards---I think its up at the dash end. The shift cable is relatively new from previous owner and there is a barrel to adjust it so its happy going both ways. It needs a bath and a wax job... the clear coat is thin / worn thru in some spots. But the floor is solid along with the rest of the boat, its just a cool 70's mini go fast boat... the motor is newer than the boat is (it came with a 120hp 2.5 L Mercruiser and somewhere along line got a late 80's / early 90'selectronic ignition 3.0 / 140 hp) . I have been offered $1400 for the motor alone... I don't want to part boat out and send hull to crusher... buy it, finish it and have a tone of fun. All for a reasonable price considering what I've done to it so far... I'm just out of time and need to work on my other boat. Thanks!!!!
