This is an incredible FULLY RESTORED RARE 1959 DURACRAFT DURAGLAS 16' Fiberglass Boat with a restored 1965 Mercury 100hp Outboard. This amazing boat provides a smooth ride riding the waves across with the unique deep bow/hull design and wide beam. The restoration took well over a year to bring it to like new condition. This restoration was taken deep with new stringers and floor. It features all new finish, new wiring, (each function fused), new battery, rigging, speedometer pitot kit, and new upholstery with high quality marine vinyl. A new windshield, using the original as a template, was made by The Plastics Guy in California, probably the best marine windshield craftsman for vintage boats in the country! The boat comes with new custom made snap in clear vinyl side windows and a back cover so getting caught on the lake in the rain can actually be enjoyable.
The trailer also has been fully restored with new paint, hubs, wheel bearings, wiring, lights, Attwood safety chains, coupler, rollers, bunks, winch and Kenda Roadster tires (spare included with carrier not shown in photos). New BoatBuckle G2 Transom Tie Downs were installed making tie down a snap.
The 1965 Mercury 1000 100hp motor has also been restored. This motor runs amazing and is quick to start with impressive take off to plane performance, She's fast! This motor has been professionally restored. It features new fuel pumps, completely rebuilt carbs and new ignition system (points, condensers, vents tubes, internal parts, distributor cap, rotor, rectifier and wires). The internal wiring harness has been rebuilt/restored. The internals of the engine are very sound. New control cables. The lower unit has been rebuilt with, of course, a new water pump and a new aluminum propeller. A newer control box has been added to provide enhanced safety and starting features not found on the original.
The restoration of this classic should make this rare boat awesome for another 60 years of enjoyment.
