Chrysler 300 Stern Drive

1979 Chrysler Stern Drive Boat for parts or rehab.Mechanics: Includes lots of extra parts, especially from the outdrive. Rebuilt carburetor and poly gas tank. Crank shaft turns with wrench but I have not tried to start it for couple years. See pictures.Boat: Hull is in good condition with expected gel coat cracks and minor scratches. Interior will need rehab. (Seats, carpet). Current windshield replaced the original. (See parts picture. Original is in good condition and comes with hardware.) History: This boat was originally used for skiing in the Detroit River. My family bought it decades ago and moved it to Lake St. Helen, MI. I rode in it many times and it went like a scared rabbit. My son and I took is on as a project a few years ago and moved it to fresh water in NC. (Never titled here.) We did the carburetor, gas tank, and epoxied the drain plug. Again, it ran like a scared rabbit. Close to the ramp it started going down. We got it back on the trailer and confirmed that the plug wasn't the problem. (I suspect it one of the outdrive bellows.) Ian decided to make another go at college and the boat was set aside. I don't recall if it got winterized. The trailer truly looks like it custom for this boat. I only see surface rust.The tires show no sign of dry rotting and have great tread. The Engine Manual and Parts Catalog have been enjoyed by mice but damage has very little effect on usability.
