1966 Californian 28' Express CruiserTwin 327 Chevy's 250hp each480 hours and 512 hours on the motorsI bought this boat from the original owners family out of Utah, I hauled it back to Oregon and I hate to admit... have done nothing with it. Recently a man came by and asked if I'd sell it, he asked a million questions that I don't really have the answers to. I have never had it running, so last week 9/2/20 I towed it over to my mechanics shop and told him to make it run. The starboard motor fired right up, the port motor sounds like it has a metallic sound in the lower end. To me it's the same sound that the shafts make turning outside of water. Nevertheless... I'm to the point I don't have time for all these boats and stuff. It could be nothing, it could need a new motor. It's like a time capsule inside, the engine compartments are clean and nice, it has a head, sink, alcohol stove, vac system, onan generator under the floor, cabin heat, 120/12v fridge, props, shafts, transmissions, steering and all linkage is silky smooth and in good shape. The trailer was built for this boat. You aren't going to tow it with your 1/2 ton Ford no matter how much Ford says it will tow. It's a beast and heavy. I towed it last week with my F350... that I also have listed. I bet it weighs all of 10,000 lbs and more.In 1966 Utah didn't issue boat titles, it was registration only and sale was done by bill of sale. I've done this many times and it is simple for me to get a title in Oregon. I can give you a bill of sale and you can figure it out in your state or I can get a title in Oregon and it'll cost YOU another $100. Not a big deal. The trailer has 6 brand new tires and wheels, electric winch to load, electric brakes on every axle. It tows very nice if you have a big truck. Buy the boat, buy the truck, buy it all! I've got way more into this boat than the opening bid with NO RESERVEI've listed a bunch of other boats that I've decided I just don't need. I also have a 90's 8' Livingston Dingy with all the davit hardware and 3.5hp Johnson I'd offer to whoever buys this boat for cheap.
