C-DORY CRUISER

We bought this lovely little C-DORY for a summer cruise to Maine because we didn't have time to bring our large sailboat up the coast this year. We had a great cruise and now offer it at what C-Dory aficionados will recognize as a very attractive "Buy It Now" price (with anything less being a "steal it now" price. THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION.The boat is a 1997 model cruiser. The Honda 90 HP outboard is a 2005 and the dual axle trailer is a 2007. The boat is in good condition and very clean inside and out.The hull is intact and has no cracks, blisters or structural issues of any kind. The boat does not leak from above or below. Cosmetically, the gel coat on the hull is shiny with the sort of minor wear and tear you would expect. The green trim is original and somewhat faded. The bottom has been freshly painted with hard anti-fouling.The stainless rub-rail on the port bow shows some scratching/marring along a two foot section, presumably from rubbing on a piling. There is a bimini cover in excellent condition that mounts on a stainless steel frame that covers the cockpit and provides excellent shade.Overall the boat presents a good appearance and is ready to cruise with nothing needed. The interior is clean and in good shape.The fabric upholstery is a recent upgrade and shows as new (a second set of cushions in naugahide comes with the boat). The interior surfaces are all in good condition. There is a laminate wood floor of the interlocking plank variety (not attached to the hull). The captains chair is original and could use replacement. The fridge is like new, the alcohol stove works great, the water pump, pumps and the interior lights, light. (This is a pretty simple boat). One of the window latches is missing. There is a porta potty, which to my knowledge has never been used. The fuel and tack gauges work, as does the Garmin GPS chartplotter and separate fishfinder (fishfinder not in photos), but the speedometer gauge does not work. I used an IPAD as a chartplotter (not included) so I will be removing the bracket pictured in the photos. Mechanically the boat is in good shape. Before our cruise we had the two 20 gal fuel tanks cleaned, a new fuel filter installed and the two batteries replaced. There is no engine hour meter (the previous owner estimated the hours at 500). A compression check on the 2005 Honda 90 HP showed all cylinders within normal specs. The engine is clean, reliable, starts easily and runs well. We have noticed some intermittent rough idling either upon start up or after throttling down after running at cruising speed so the carbs may need tweeking. I suspect a sticky float on one of the carbs. At rpms above idling it purrs. The stainless prop is in excellent condition. The after-market trim-tabs provide extra control at all speeds. This boat is surprisingly fast and very well mannered even in the larger seas we encounter in the ocean off of Acadia.

The 2007 dual axle trailer has just been Maryland inspected and is in excellent condition. The tires are excellent. Before our Maine trip we had the surge disc brake system (calipers, rotors, discs and pads) replaced with all new components as a precautionary measure. It hooks to a 2" ball. The boat is very easy to trailer.
