Riotis a 1950 E Service wooden inboard race boat, 18 long and poweredby her original Gray Marine 244 cubic inch Fireball 6 cylinder 165horsepower engine. Built by the Davis Brothers in Mateo, SC, she wasoriginally raced in the Atlantic Coast region, then run as apleasure racer until acquired by the Lewis family of Clayton, NY.After a minimal restoration by Cedric Maycock, she was entered in earlyRaceboat Regatta events by Tony Lewis. Present owner bought her fromthe Lewis family in 1994 and continued to run in vintage events.. The boat and engine is original, with a newbottom, and stringers replaced as needed in 1998.

Hernarrow transom with large anti-trip (non trip) chines and concavebottom was the new thing as compared to a rocker keel sort of vbottom shape. She is a Davis Brothers (Vernon and Ralph, uncles toBuddy Davis) boat. They designed her lines and built her hull. Riotis a race boat design that led the way for better racing until higherhorsepower and the 3 point hydroplane design was made successful inracing.

Sale includes custom trailer with tongue extension add on to aide in ramp launching with lifting straps for crane launching. Presentlylocated in and stored indoors at Clayton, NY since 1988.
