Up For Sale18ft 1958 Botved Coronet Cruiser
These boats were designed by American designer Richard C. Cole, and built in Denmark.
The boat has a plywood hull with a fiberglass exterior and is considered to be very strong and well built.
The boat has been my family since it was new. For most of its life it was used for 3 weeks in July and then parked in the garage until the following summer.
The interior is in fantastic shape. The exterior has very normal blemishes but over-all is in great shape for a 45 year old boat.
Neat features like the hardtop with the pop-up windshield and sliding side windows really makes this boat stand out.
The interior layout is cool and can be configured for lots of different seating arrangements. It has a swing up table and the benches can be folded down into beds. Sew up some new cushions and you have the coolest boat on the lake!
The 1958 50hp Johnson Super Sea Horse has the lower unit removed but I have it on hand. Some of the photos show motor compete and some photos show without lower unit. Powerhead turns over with no problems.
The trailer, original to the boat, has some surface rust but seems solid. Trailer has new wheels and tires but sits on blocks with weight off. Hitch is 1 7/8".This boat has some very cool 1950s features like the period perfect steering wheel and even has the original logo Johnson gas tanks.
I do have clean titles for both boat and trailer.Feel free to ask any questions.
Paypal payment duewithin 48 hours after action ends.
Buyer has 30 days to pick boat up.
Last two photos of boat a few years ago... All other photos recent.

Still for sale?
Hello My name is Rie Botved, I’m from Denmark and I’m very interested in your boat. My grandfather was Ole Botved and I’ve always dreamt of owning a cornet boat. Would you be interested in selling. You can contact me on my mail ***

Interesting photo. Our parents had a 1959 18' Sedan with the same features. Is the current owner interested in selling ?
I am writing on August 20, 2022 about a (1958?) 189-foot Botved Coronet in Chicago, IL. There are several inquiries about the boat, and the questions may span over a number of years. So, I am not sure if the boat is still for sale, or not. It looks very interesting! I am a very likely buyer, and would certainly like to know!
