Very Rare, Vintage, American designed and Danish built classic boat. Designed by Richard Cole and built by Botved Boats of Copenhagen, Denmark. This particular boat was originally purchased in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, home of the US distributor for Botved Boats. The hull was constructed of marine plywood covered with fiberglass. Other structural components are hardwoods. Seats and trim are mahogany. The fiberglass hardtop modeled after the 1957 Corvette is in excellent condition as is the windshield which retracts up into the hardtop.
The specs on the boat are: Gunwale Length- 17'6, LOA- 15'9, Beam-7', Depth forward- 39", Depth aft- 24", Weight- 520 lbs. A short shaft outboard is required. A vintage 45hp motor will work nicely on this boat. The boat has been garaged for many years. I have removed the original fiberglass cloth that was no longer adhering to the pristine wood under it and found the original pencil marks from when the boat was being built. The boat will need a new layer of fiberglass cloth and paint. The boat has no significant hull rot. I cut out one small area where water had gotten under the fiberglass. This area needs a simple scarf joint repair. A large piece of marine plywood is included. The interior of the boat is very clean and solid. The transom is very solid and unused holes and dents have been filled with Marine Tex. Areas around the corroded original copper nails need to be filled and re-fastened. Plywood decking needs to be replaced and patterns for the decking are included. Also included is the original steering wheel, refinished seating and floorboards, keel, chines and two 8x10 sheets of mahogany plywood. The included Karavan trailer is in excellent condition with nice tires and greaseable bearings. The boat and trailer will be sold with a Bill of Sale only. Will sell to a buyer in Denmark or otherScandinavian countries. This boat would make a nice winter restoration project. More pictures available. Please ask any questions you may have.

Questions
I have my fathers 1957 convertible coronet boat that has been sitting around my house and shop since he died in 1977. He bought this boat I think in 1959 or 60. We kept this boat at Delta airlines private club called Cushing Park at Allatoona lake north of Atlanta. Im wanting to do a complete overhaul on it because it is such a classic boat. I was even thinking about buying yours also to do. I wanted to know if you still had the boat and if you had the curved windshield also. Feel free to contact me *** or email Thank You , Jack
