I bought this boat for $2050 from seller who said engine was in working order and said couldn't put boat in lake because of no current registration. He ran the engine with hose. I put the boat on the lake the day after I bought it and the engine had issues. Took to boat mechanic the next day and he took engine apart. No visible cracks, but engine had water in it and needs rebuild. Power tilt motor also needs replaced. My bad luck will be your good fortune. Selling as is with trailer. Overall shape of the boat is very good for the age. I have titles. Sent boat registration into State already. The boat mechanic told me to list the boat for at least $1200. He said that the out board is good and is worth about $800. He said there are many good volvo engine parts and good trailer. It is a great parts boat or for someone who knows how to rebuild the engine. If you are interested, I can give you the name of the boat mechanic so you can verify this information. I tried to get the guy who sold me the boat to step up and do the right thing, but he wouldn't. The engine has been taken apart, and is still disassembled. If you want pictures of the engine parts, let me know.I purchased the boat on July 3rd. Here is the original listing from sellergsxr110090::"Up for bid is a 1988 Baretta Success 200 with a Volvo Penta 8 cyl. motor. I received this boat from a family member when they moved out of state. Since that time, i put it in the water that summer, winterized it and haven't used it since. The battery has sat on a charger in my garage during this time. It was winterized in the fall of 2015. It sat outside but was covered. This spring I decided I liked the idea of owning a boat more than I liked actually owning a boat so I am trying to part ways. I have taken the boat out of winterization mode, cleaned it as best I could, ran the motor to make sure that is in order and am currently trying to sell it locally as well as on classifieds board. The pictures give a good representation of the condition of this boat. In my opinion, it could use a set of trailer tires. Other than that, what you see is what you get. Its a pretty fast boat, great for tubing. Boat is being sold as is, no warranty. it is an old boat, so anything can go wrong, although I had no problem with it in my brief ownership."
