Army Landing Craft

Maybe the finest LCU Landing Craft left afloat. LCU1528 "Lingayen Gulf" is 119' feet x 34 wide. She draws a tiny 5 feet fully loaded with 180 tons on deck. Full yard visit May 2015 included new shafts, props, bearings, replate hull, new gate, new deck hatched, rebuilt rudders, full epoxy bottom job with bottom paint. She has three Detroit Diesels which were installed in 2012. Three generators including a yanmar 30w, onan 10w and Detroit 30w. Electric front gate. Two 40' steel spuds for river anchoring. Full kitchen and bath. She has been berthed in fresh water since mid 70s so very little corrosion. A workhorse she makes 7500-10k per day. Cruise loaded at 8 knots burning 25 GPH. Located near San Francisco. Topside was re epoxied in 2012. A great business or perfect for a remote island. We own smaller landing crafts and our main project for her has completed so time for a new home.
