Aqualoop

I am listing for sale my 1970's era Aqualoop watercraft. I purchased this craft from an elderly gentleman in New York who used itto tow his pickle fork hydroplane at races.

Aqualoop was manufactured in Canada in the early 1970's, I believe in or near montreal. Records indicate that only 800 were made. They were considered the forerunner of today's Jet Ski's.

After purchasing it I restored it, there was no major damages to the fiberglass just years of nicks and dings. I had it painted a year and a half ago, replaced the bumper moulding, cable steering, fuel tank and lines, new fire extinguisher, replaced the seat with a new seat made of marine materials. There are a couple of small scratches from normal use but hard to see.

The engine is a period correct 18 horsepower Evinrude. The engine runs well, a marine mechanic maintains the engine for me, winterizing it each fall. The carburetor was rebuilt last fall as well as a new water pump installed. I put a new prop on it last summer. Engine has the tiller arm but is steered by the handlebars. Engine put's the craft up on plane with no problem.

This craft is a blast to drive and is a true head turner. I have installed a kill switch like the new jet ski's have that attaches to your life jacket and shuts the engine off if you fall of the ski.

This ski has never seen salt water, used in fresh water once a year in New Hampshire on my vacation since I have owned it. Same with the Evinrude engine.
