1973 John Allmand 23' Citation Enclosed Pilothouse. Don't let the year fool you, this boat has only had 2 owners and has been continuously maintained and upgraded and is in excellent condition! Re-powered with a FWC 5.7L 260 hp Mercruiser engine and a Alpha 1 Gen 2 outdrive with 525 +/- hours on it. This engine will push the boat to about 37 mph, cruising speed is right around 30 mph. Within the last few of years, the following has been done: Fuel Tanks, Manifolds, Risers, Carburetor, Starter, Alternator, Fuel Pump, Coil, Spark Plugs, Ignition Wires, Distributor Cap, Rotor, Battery, Wiper Motor, and more. I installed a quick flush valve system which allows you to winterize in a matter of minutes. I also installed a heater with 3 vents which works off the engine just like a car for year-round comfort. I keep the boat in the water during the winter so I can boat all year! Electronics include a Furuno Depth Finder, Furuno Gps chartplotter, VHF, and a New 7" Lowrance GPS/DF/FF. Also installed last year was a Boss stereo with bluetooth and 2 speakers. Multiple canvases include full cockpit cover, new drop down with eisenglass to enclose the pilothouse, and full winter canvas cover. This model has the galley with ice box (size of typical small refrig), sink, stove, and storage cabinet located behind the helm. Port side has a Dinette with storage under both seats. Cool old-school light provide plenty of light in the pilothouse for when it gets dark. Side windows slide open for ventilation as well as the front windows open up from the bottom (like the old VW bus safari windows). Cuddy cabin has a V berth with reversible cushion (plaid or white vinyl), a newer Port-a-potty, hatch, and light. All cushions/vinyl are Original 1973 and in very good shape. I installed a Teak swim platform on the boat which could pass for a factory option. There is a ladder for getting in/out of the water and a kicker motor bracket on it as well (no motor is included). One downrigger for fishing. Everything works as it should. Boat is turn-key and reliable. There are no soft spots anywhere and the gel-coat is in amazing condition. One area on starboard corner has a small repair due to a whip breaking during a storm and rubbing against the dock. Other than that, the hull in near mint and shines well. I've taken this boat on many trips, did overnights on it, dock-n-dines, etc. This boat has provided much enjoyment. I encourage anyone interested to call and come take a look at it in person. There was a survey done a few months ago and the boat passed with flying colors. Unfortunately I do not have a copy of it due the the buyer backing out, but he was a local surveyor and we can track him down to re-survey if needed. The trailer is NOT included in the auction. If winner is in need of a trailer, it is available for purchase for an additional $2,200. It is a 2004 Loadrite with torsion axles and has all new Hubs, Bearings, and Disk Brakes. Tires are good and also has a mounted spare rim tire. You could drive this trailer anywhere. Thanks for looking! Ken phone
