Alglas Wahoo

This is a nice Alglas Wahoo which is (I think) a 1968 model. Don't see these every day! If you're looking at this boat you probably know more about it than me. I got it in a trade and don't know that much about it. It is out of Nantucket (I can still see it on the transom) and how it ended up in Knoxville, Tennessee, I have no idea. It has a Chrysler V-8 which looks to be either a 318 or 360 which runs absolutely perfectly. Two 33 gallon fuel tanks. Cool old brass compass. Large hand-operated brass bilge pump. Hand-laid fiberglass construction. Good removable upholstery cushions which need to be cleaned but are in good shape. Tachometer, voltmeter, and oil pressure gauges work fine. Not too sure about the fuel gauges. Nice stainless steel bow rail and a very nice and sturdy wood swim platform with a folding and telescoping ladder. Bottom paint is peeling as you can see in the photos. Lots of room! I keep reading that these boats have a "cult following" so here is a chance for any of you cult followers to get one! This is a nice boat but it is not a restored "showboat" by any means. The trailer in the pictures is NOT included! Everybody get that? The trailer is for another boat and the Wahoo is sitting on it but it is an uncomfortable fit. The trailer was certainly not made for this boat. Once again, IT HAS NO TRAILER! If you buy this boat - and you should - I am hoping you will drive here with your trailer and I will meet you at the lake, we will launch the boat and drive it for a bit, then we will load it on your trailer for you to take home. If you have no trailer - and you should - I may be able to deliver it to you for expenses but my tow vehicle isn't all that great and I really don't want to do it but I will if it's necessary. If you need time to come and get it that is OK and I can store it for you under cover for as long as you need until you can come and get it.
